Real Wedding Review π Nathan + Lauren
SEPTEMBER 2023
My now husband and I knew we wanted to spend forever together early on in our relationship - in fact we started looking at venues before we were even engaged, and taking it a step further we actually secretly eloped (only told our parents, bridesmaids, and groomsmen) summer of 2022 while waiting for our big wedding day celebrations on September 16th, 2023.
We are so happy with how our rustic, elegant, and moody wedding turned out with the color scheme of green (check out the groom's suit!) and gold (go Packers!), and ivory. With rustic wooden decorations rented from 4 Sisters Events and Elegant Outcomes, the elegant venue of The Court Above Main, photo locations of the Hatchery Riverside, and the Charmant, and the moody vibe of our photographer Jenna Walker our day came out just as we had envisioned it. We loved having family and friends from all over the country come and celebrate with us, and being able to show off the city of La Crosse. It was the perfect day, with the best people.
The Wedding Tree β’ This was the first and only place I looked at wedding dresses. We had such a fun time at the consultation! I tried about a dozen dresses until I found the one I didn't want to take off. It was so exciting to try different jewelry and veils to imagine the whole look. I was quickly back the next day to order my dress! I chose to have my alterations completed at the Wedding Iree and I was very happy with the results. We also rented all the suits from here. There were many styles to choose from. Amy was super helpful and the men looked so handsome. We had such a wonderful experience with The Wedding Tree!
The Court Above Main β’ Not only is the space is an absolutely gorgeous and stunning historical building, but Kelli and Lexi (venue manager and coordinator) just absolutely go above and beyond to help your day run smoothly. They were hard at work helping plan our perfect day months in advance all the way up to the day / night of. I love how historical the venue is- the fact the ballroom floor use to be a basketball court back in the day, and the bar is made from the original wooden door of a doctor who use to have his office there- the historical geek in me loved this. You don't only get a beautiful venue at the Court Above Main, but you also get amazing staff to work with - which in my opinion is priceless.
Peace Oven Cakes Β· Keely at Peace Oven Cakes was so easy and fun to work with. You can tell she loves what she does! We had three flavors - raspberry lemonade, apple cinnamon, and double chocolate and all were equally delicious and decorated perfectly. One of my biggest concerns with desserts is always my peanut allergy and Keely went above and beyond to take measures to ensure there would not be any cross-contamination and I could safely and confidently enjoy the dessert on my wedding day.
