1. Start Your Venue Search Early

  • Imagine falling in love with your dream venue only to find out they are booked 12 months out. Many wedding venues and even vendors book out a year or more. Starting your search early and getting that date set is the key to getting that perfect venue you want!

2. Location!

  • There are so many things to consider when choosing the perfect location for your special day. Always consider things such as: Are there hotels close? What is the parking like? Is the venue handicap assessable? Is the venue easy to get to?

3. Guest Count

  • Knowing your guest count or having a good estimate is very important when choosing your venue. Knowing your guest count helps you choose the right venue size you will need. It would be very hard to fit 300 people in a venue meant for 100.

4. Determine Your Style

  • Do you want your wedding indoors or outdoors? In the country or in town? Rustic or Modern? Formal or Casual? Determining your wedding style will really narrow down your options for venues and simplify your choices.

5. Your Must-Haves

  • When picking your venue, you should pick the highest priorities that you would like on your wedding day. Things that might be included: On-Site Suite to get ready in, the view, bringing vendors in, rain day options, rental options
