Wedding Party Tips to Look Your Best ✨

While all eyes will be on the bride, you still want to look amazing for your friend's big day! Here are five recommendations to ensure that you look and feel your best so you can focus on your role of supporting the bride and having fun:
Keep the texture and length of your hair in mind when you are looking for inspiration photos for your wedding-day style.
For example, it can be challenging for a stylist to create a low bun that will hold all day on hair above the shoulders, and on-trend large bohemian blonde braids will not look the same on fine hair that is not chemically treated. Ask your stylist for recommendations, and they will provide personalized ideas that will work well with your hair and last all night.
Just say "no" to unwashed hair.
When working with bridal parties, the biggest misconception I hear (and see) is that hair should be dirty for a formal style, which can make it difficult for your stylist to achieve your desired look. The ideal pre-wedding wash day depends on your hair: If you have dry hair that is frizz-prone and typically looks best on the second day, plan to wash the day before. If your scalp and hair tend to become oily quickly, plan to shampoo the day of, and your stylist will use products to achieve your event look. You know your hair best! In general, we advise washing the evening before and applying a light gel or foam, working it throughout your hair evenly. You will earn extra points with your stylist if you give yourself a voluminous blowout! Airdrying is fine as well; just make sure your hair is dry for your appointment. You can also schedule a blowout and thermal style the day before which will prep you for the next day and have you looking fantastic for the rehearsal.
Makeup can be transformational for a special event, but healthy hydrated skin makes all the difference.
Keep in mind that makeup artists can disguise discoloration easily but not texture: don't pick at blemishes that may surface on your skin before the event! Leading up to the event, pay special attention to your skincare routine and drink plenty of water, and consider indulging in a facial the week before the event for the perfect glow. On the day of the event, come makeup-free with clean, moisturized skin for the perfect canvas. We suggest airbrush makeup if you are prone to sweating or get teary-eyed at weddings. If you're feeling a little pale, plan on a spray tan a couple of days beforehand for the most natural-looking bronzed skin.
Don’t forget your nails.
You'll be wearing a beautiful dress and have your hair and makeup done; manicures are the accents to a fully pulled-together look! A professional mani and pedi a day or two before the wedding is the best, and your nail appointments together can be a wonderful bonding and relaxing experience for the bridal party as a group event.
Lastly, being punctual is important.
Be on time for your appointments to ensure the schedule stays on track and keep your beauty services uncomplicated so as not to outshine the bride but complement her and the rest of the party while you all relax and enjoy the professional pampering!
