Real Wedding Review 💍 Rachel + Kellan
We got married on July 9th, 2022 which was the most perfect summer day we could have ever asked for! From the weather, our amazing friends and family, the vendors, to finally getting to marry each other after nine years of dating, our wedding day was an absolute dream. Our ceremony was held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Lacrosse, WI, and our reception was held at Celebrations on the River, also in Lacrosse. We feel so blessed on how wonderfully everything came together, making our special day all that it was.
The Wedding Tree was the first and only place I looked for my wedding dress, and a big reason for that was how fun and special Melissa made the experience for me. She listened to my ideas for what I thought I wanted in my dream dress, and she also had me try on some dresses out of my comfort zone-- which ended up being super fun! She was also so welcoming and inclusive to my mom and sister who were with me the day I found my dress, and she made it a really special experience for all three of us. Sarah in alterations was also nothing short of amazing, and she made me fall even more in love with my dress than when I bought it. The Wedding Tree is also able to store your dress which was a huge relief and so convenient.
Not only is Emily an outstanding photographer, but she also puts in the extra effort to make her clients feel comfortable being in front of a camera by really getting to know them or their personalities. I was nervous about my engagement and wedding pictures because I have not had a lot of professional pictures taken of myself, but Emily made me feel like I was hanging out with and laughing with one of my best friends the whole time! Emily is also super organized and is with you every step of the way to keep your wedding day schedule on track. Our engagement and wedding photos are everything we could have dreamed they would be and more and we have received so many compliments on them!
Cara is such a sweet (no pun intended) person to work with! Her extensive options for cakes, cupcakes, and other desserts for our wedding made it such a difficult but fun decision for us to make. At our initial meeting, she brought me a ton of samples that I could bring home to share with my fiance and family, so that everyone could be in on the decision. We ended up going with a small cake for Kellan and I, and cupcakes for the rest of our guests. They were a HUGE hit, and were almost all gone by the end of the night!
Celebrations on the River is a venue that truly does it all! They made our wedding planning process feel so easy and stress free. From getting ready space, to decor, and food, Celebrations takes care of it all. The beauty of the entire venue really speaks for itself, and our guests loved having the option of being inside or outside by the firepit or down by the water as the night went on. We loved having multiple food and decor options to make our wedding reception truly our own unique event that encompassed who we are as a couple. The food is absolutely incredible, and I am pretty sure all our guests went through the buffet line two times! Anne was a dream to work with, and made sure our wedding day was absolutely nothing short of amazing.
