Real Wedding Review 💍 Morgan + Vince
After 22 months of planning, our wedding day was more than we could've imagined. Thankfully, this was our originally scheduled date and we were not impacted by the pandemic. We had a gorgeous October day and everything went according to plan. We had no last second stressors as we went through wedding week, all thanks to our vendors, families, and friends.
When it came to dress shopping, I did not expect to find my dress at the first shop I looked at. Blaire was extremely helpful in finding dresses that matched my vision and encouraging me to try other styles as well. The entire experience was no pressure and I'm thankful Blaire convinced me to try on that one final dress, which just so happened to be the one! We also used The Wedding Tree for our menswear. We had everything shipped to the shop as we had several out of town groomsmen. We had a size issue with our Best Man the day before our wedding and The Wedding Tree was able to get the size corrected before 10:30 the next day. Kathy, a seamstress that works in the basement of The Wedding Tree, did my alterations. Through my various fittings, Kathy was super helpful and helped make my dress fit perfectly. I wore 4 inch heels for the ceremony and photos and wanted to change to Crocs for the reception. Kathy helped make this happen without the dress looking too short in the heels or tripping on its length in the Crocs.
I first met Emily at The Wedding Expo in early 2020. Her photos stood out to me the most at the expo for how bright they were and how genuine they seemed. Emily and Ben were both at the booth and we set up a time to meet to discuss our wedding. When we met with them, we knew right away they were the photographers we wanted for our wedding. Their personalities vibed so well with ours and throughout the entire process from engagement photos, timeline planning, and through our wedding day, they were always organized, positive, and made us feel comfortable. During the wedding I had gotten a grass stain on my train and Ben even carried a Tide pen with him and came to my rescue! We received small polaroids of some sneak peeks that night and some more the next day. Everything was more than we could've ever asked for.
Cara's cake is phenomenal. Our families have a huge sweet tooth, so we knew cake would be an important part of our wedding. We also have a handful of family and friends that do not usually like cake. Every "non-cake" person that tried the cake absolutely loved the cake. We had three full sheet cakes and had very minimal leftovers with 180 guests. Her almond cake with raspberry filling and raspberry drizzle was a huge hit, but everyone loved the lemon poppyseed and chocolate peanut butter cupcakes as well! Cara was amazing to work with and even let us use her cake stand for our tiered cake at the last minute.
I was torn for a long time during wedding planning on real versus fake flowers. Once I finally decided on real flowers, I met with Jen and am so happy I made that decision. I had a few inspirational photos, knowing I wanted burgundy, some type of blue or navy, and sunflowers. When I met with Jen, she shared photos of different types of flowers that could help make my vision come true. My bouquet was absolutely gorgeous and we also did bridesmaid bouquets, three corsages, several boutineers for all of the guys in the wedding, and some flowers for my tiered cake. Jen sent me a sneak peek the night before and my flowers were delivered right to the venue the day of the wedding. She far surpassed my expectations on my flowers!
We came across Omar through a Facebook wedding group and watched several of his videos and knew that having a videographer was something we wanted to move forward with. We had looked at other vendors and we didn't have the largest budget available since this wasn't one of our major priorities for our wedding day. Omar was affordable and went above and beyond the day of our wedding. There were so many special moments that he captured for us and we are so happy we made the decision to add videography. Omar also includes still photos with his packages, which we received 180 of one week after our wedding. These were the perfect way for us to relive the day so quickly, and almost all of them were candid photos that we truly cherish. Omar also provides a short teaser video, a highlight reel, and full documentary that we cannot wait to see!
We were super impressed with everyone we worked with at Celebrations. We had several planning meetings throughout the entire process and the entire staff was able to answer any of the questions we had along the way. When it came to set up and the day of the wedding, every person we ran into was offering help however they could. Additionally, we had so many compliments on the food provided and how beautiful the space and outdoor area was. The staff at Celebrations truly exceeded my expectations.
