Real Wedding Review 💍 Carissa + Hunter
Our day was everything we imagined and more. It was a beautiful, sunny, 75 degree day surrounded by family and friends. I knew I wanted a rustic, country venue and we fell in love with the feel of Horstmann Homestead Farms venue. We held all of our wedding events at the venue including the rehearsal, ceremony, reception, and brunch the next day. Our food was catered by Pogy's Catering and we had delicious cupcakes delivered by Rhonda's Sweet Treats. Nancy captured our perfect day for us. Our day could not have been more perfect.
This venue is beautiful. The natural decor they have was perfect for how we imagined our wedding. The owners were very helpful in communicating with us and very responsive to our questions. Any time we wanted to set up a meeting, they were accommodating to our schedules. This venue helped to make planning our wedding relatively stress-free. The in-house DJ, bonfire, and hayride just made the day more enjoyable for everyone. If you're looking for a rustic, country venue that truly cares about your special day, this is your venue.
Going into my dress appointment, I was not sure what I wanted in a wedding dress at all. They made it such a wonderful, relaxing experience for me and my bridal party. The consultant was patient in helping me figure out what style of dress I wanted and I fell in love with the dress I later wore on my wedding day. They were also able to help me get the color of dress I wanted, as I did not want a traditional white dress. Because of their help, I was able to find a gorgeous dress I felt great in on my day. We are happy we rented the men's tuxedos through The Wedding Tree as well. Having everything in one location was so convenient and Amy was helpful in answering any questions we had regarding the rentals as we had never gone through the process before. She provided insight on what colors would look best with the bridesmaids dresses and we are pleased with what the men ended up with!
WOW. This food was absolutely delicious. So many of our guests gave compliments on the food. Kaley was very reliable and responsive to all of our questions throughout the process leading up to our wedding day. Pogy's helped ease our stress by communicating directly with our venue for setting up the day of the event as well.
Working with Nancy was such a treat. She knew us well and understood what we wanted in our photos. It was very easy to work with her and she helped to take the "awkwardness" out of staging photos. Getting my husband to smile in photos is no easy task, but Nancy got the job done!
