Why Attend a Wedding Expo?

Whether you are recently engaged, have been wedding planning for some time, or are still in the dreaming process of your big day, a Wedding Expo can be helpful for a variety of reasons. Is there an ideal time during your planning process to go to an Expo? There is not! The planning process is different for everyone who goes through it and ideas and connections made at a Wedding Expo can be beneficial at any point of your process. What are some of the big reasons to go to an Expo you may ask?

  1. All types of vendors are in one spot

    • If you’re looking for a caterer, DJ, florist, and wedding designer, it can take a lot of time to research and visit multiple of each before you find the one that fits with you and your partner for your big day. By coming to the La Crosse Wedding Expo, you are able to see over 80 vendors who are looking to serve you in a variety of ways to make the wedding of your dreams. Only one trip in the car, a free event, no appointment time needed with the vendors, and you can meet a ton of options over four hours. Seems like win-win-win for you, the vendors, and the environment!

  2. You get to talk to vendors face-to-face

    • Oftentimes to kick off conversations, you have to fill out an inquiry form, make a phone call, send an email, or schedule an appointment far in advance. One of the best reasons to go to the La Crosse Wedding Expo is that you have the opportunity to really meet the people you would be working with to make your day special. You get to know them, put a name to a face, and are able to see some of their work in person to see if it fits your style!

  3. You can get inspiration for new ideas

    • Considering outside of the box for your wedding day but don’t know where to start? Maybe you want to do a photo booth set-up with Elegant Outcomes or have a late-night snack that includes a nacho bar from Burrachos. We have many vendors who can help bring your big ideas to life such as a sparkler send-off in a historic alley (The Court Above Main), a boudoir shoot (Blush Boudoir Portraits), or a video to capture the entirety of your wedding day (Teagan Franz Photography).

  4. You get tips and tricks for your day to run smoother

    • Our vendors love to share their expertise about their passion areas when it comes to weddings. Not sure how large of a cake to have for the number of guests you have joining your reception? Ask one of our bakers such as Cowboy David’s Bakery. Want to know what flowers will be in season for your wedding date? Make a note to talk to Bloom & Knot, LLC!

  5. You leave with free goodies and deals

    • Whether you join as a General Admission Attendee or upgrade to a VIP, you will leave with many goodies and deals from a variety of vendors. You have the opportunity to be entered into raffles, get freebies from vendors, and many vendors collaborate with one another for extra deals to take part in!

You may be thinking that seems overwhelming, and you aren’t wrong. For many people, a large Wedding Expo can be overstimulating and seem stressful. Check out some of our Expo Team’s tips on how not to get overwhelmed when joining us on January 21, 2024:

  1. Review the list of vendors / Expo map before arriving

    • Before the La Crosse Wedding Expo happens, our team will email the map of where vendors will be located within the La Crosse Center South Hall so you can know who will all be there and where they will be located. This will be sent out via email to the email that was used for your registration. Make sure to review this before Sunday to get an idea of what booths you’d like to for sure stop at.

  2. Start with a list of vendors you for sure would like to prioritize seeing

    • After reviewing the list of vendors who will be there on January 21, 2024, take note of who you for sure want to visit. For example, are you looking for a venue to host your wedding ceremony and reception in the same scenic space? Make a note to stop by The Nature Place booth. If you visit our website, you can also find all of the vendors’ websites/social media to do some more research on if they would be a good fit for you and your day!

  3. Go in with an open mind

    • Now we know we said to go in with a list but don’t be afraid to branch out! There may be many vendors who you haven’t heard of, provide a service that you didn’t think of, or you may just click with at the La Crosse Wedding Expo. Need to provide bathrooms for your tent wedding? Make sure to check out A-1 Precision Pumping or Prissy Potty for your outdoor bathroom needs.

  4. Bring something to write down ideas / make a note on your phone

    • Whether you are a pen-and-paper type of person or a digital-note-to-share-with-those-who-need-it person, be ready to take note of all of the amazing ideas that will come from our Expo in January 2024. If you really want to take note of some amazing ideas, you can also create a shared album and snap photos of bridal and wedding party looks from The Wedding Tree and rentals from Resource Vintage Rental!

  5. Remember that you do not need to talk to everyone that day

    • While we may be biased and know all of our vendors are amazing and worth the stop, we also understand that it can be a really overstimulating day. Remember that you do not need to stop and talk to every single person and that these vendors will be available to you beyond this one day. It’s a busy day for everyone and we want you to honor your social limit to make the experience as enjoyable for you as possible.
